Default Extra Threadfields - vB4

The Wait Is Over!
Introducing Extra Threadfields for vB4

Your website's forums deserve more than just the typical "title" and "message" fields in which are provided in topics all accross the web. Take care and pride in your website's topics and use this product to add extra criteria for to your threads.

This product has been used in order to help websites produce all kinds of different forums based on extra fields. Example: If you own a car forum and have a place where users post cool car parts or pictures of cars, you can create a new field within this particular forum for them to be able to specify which model the car is, etc.

Former Extra Threadfields Customers - Save $10 when purchasing the vB4 version. After the purchase, send a pm to Gio~Logist saying "Former Customer, Where's my Discount?" $10 will be refunded to you right away!

Default Re: Extra Threadfields - vB4

Hi. As a sanity check, can I please confirm that the vb 4.0.x version does the following:

On a forumdisplay page - listing threads in the forum - I need to show a portion of the thread description under the thread starter. Not the whole thread description, because these are news articles coming in from an RSS feed.

I need to be able to control the number of characters of the thread desciption that is shown. Between 50 - 500. Something along those lines.

I'm not looking to change the display of the thread content once the user clicks on the thread starter and goes to the thread page.

Hopefully I'm being clear. If this functionality can be confirmed, I think you have a new customer. Better to buy a tried and tested product than me re-inventing the wheel.

Thanks.
