With the promise of vb4 including rewrite urls, there might not be a need for vbseo anymore.

However, vb4 might not offer the vast amount of options that vbseo currently offers.

As far as I'm aware of, vbseo offers such an extensive list of options that it would probably take vb4 a long time to catch up with as far as complete rewrites throughout your entire site.

Plus, vbseo does have options of rewriting third party addons and mods. Something I highly doubt vb4 will ever offer as they do not support anything but the core of vb.

IMO, if you have mods and addons you might not want to use vb4 seo options as they will not extend to anything outside the default vb installation and it's "own" addons they offer.

There is alot of talk whether or not vbseo will be a good solution or not once vb4 comes out. IMHO, I say it will still continue to be a good solution if not a better one.

With vB 4 in market, it had eliminated ned of vBSEO.

I'm also pretty psyched to see what vB4 has in store for us for SEO.

I know a lot of requests were made, I made a few myself. Jelsoft definitely knows the importance of SEO to vBulletin owners - question is, just how well they're going to execute the SEO add-ons.
